Trading simulator

The wheat trading simulator is a hands-on online game that lets you step into the world of grain trading and see if you’ve got what it takes to make smart moves in the market. You’ll start with a virtual balance and get to decide when to buy or sell wheat as prices shift and news unfolds.

The game uses real historical market data to keep things interesting, so you can try out your trading ideas, see how you handle risk, and watch your balance rise (or fall) based on your choices. Whether you’re a student, a farmer, or just curious about how commodity markets work, the simulator is a fun, no-pressure way to learn the ropes and have some fun.

The game is embedded below this text.

How to Play:

  1. Start by selecting the number of trading days you want to play. This sets the length of your trading simulation.

  2. Each round, decide whether to buy, sell, or hold wheat based on the current market price and news updates. Your aim is to maximise your balance by making the best trading decisions.

  3. After placing your trade, click “Next Turn” to move to the next day. The market will update, and you’ll see the impact of your decisions.

  4. Keep an eye on your balance, open positions, and market news as you progress through the game. Try to end the simulation with the highest possible balance.

  5. Let us know how we can improve it, and how well or badly you do at trading.

Just remember, it’s all a bit of fun!
