2026 Inagural Australian Agricultural Awards

We’re thrilled to announce that Agwatchers will be hosting all five state award events and the national gala for the inaugural Australian Agriculture Awards, a groundbreaking celebration of excellence in Australian agriculture.

Launched by ACM Agri and the National Farmers Federation, these awards represent the first truly national agricultural awards program in Australia. We’re honored to take the stage as MCs for this prestigious event that will shine a light on the innovators, leaders, and professionals driving our industry forward.

World-Class Judging Panel

The awards feature an exceptional judging panel of industry leaders including Georgie Somerset (NFF director), Peta Ward (Westpac), Adrian Capogreco (Nutrien Ag Solutions), Penelope Arthur (ACM Agri), and @andrew marshall (ACM Agri). This calibre of expertise ensures the awards maintain the highest integrity and recognise genuinely outstanding contributions to agriculture.

Backed by Industry Leaders

We’re proud that the awards are supported by platinum partners Nutrien Ag Solutions, Westpac, and Toyota Australia. These organisations share our commitment to celebrating agricultural excellence and supporting the next generation of farm leaders.

An Unprecedented Prize

The inaugural Australian Agricultural Medallist will drive away in a Toyota Tundra Platinum valued at $181,000, the most valuable prize ever offered in an agricultural awards program in Australia.

What’s at Stake

The awards span five categories: Women in Agriculture, Nutrien NextGen Leader, Sustainability in Agriculture, Westpac Innovation in Agriculture, and Toyota Wellbeing and Safety in Agriculture. Finalists will be selected to compete at state events across September and October, with national winners crowned at a gala dinner in Canberra in November 2026.

Your Moment

This is agriculture’s biggest celebration, and we want to see the best of the best recognised. Whether you’re an innovator in sustainability, a leader championing wellbeing and safety, a woman breaking barriers in ag, or a next-generation farmer shaping the future, these awards are for you.

Nominations close August 2. If you know someone doing exceptional work in agriculture, or if you’re driving change yourself, we encourage you to nominate.
